Elk Grove Village is a small suburb outside Chicago. The Jump and Vault members of the high school Track & Field team wanted to develop a unique identity for themselves. These logos were to be printed on warm-up and off field apparel items.
Elk Grove has a quirky history as there are no native elk in the region. In the 1920's a resident brought a herd of elk from Yellowstone park in Montana to the area. The herd still inhabits a local forest preserve today.
